We respect your privacy and are committed to data security.
Personal information you choose to provide, such as your name, email, phone number, address, or otherwise, will be used by Matt Woody and our employees and volunteers as part of the campaign. For example, we may use your address to send you mail, or your phone number to remind you to vote. We trust that your decision to provide your information is voluntary, that the information is correct, and that you are authorized to provide it.
If you provide your email address to us, we may send you emails updating you on our campaign or campaign-related events and deadlines. You may unsubscribe from our email list at any time.
We will not sell or give your information to any outside parties for their own use. The only time we will provide your information to outside parties is if we hire them for a service, such as a mailing, and we will take all reasonable steps to ensure that those parties do not disclose your information to others.
Federal election law requires transparency about donors to any congressional candidate’s campaign. If you donate to The People For Matt Woody, our payment processor will ask for the information the law requires and will share that information with us. We will subsequently report that information to the Federal Election Commission. We will not provide any information about you to the FEC or any other government agency unless we are required to do so by law.
We have taken all reasonable steps to make it safe for you to use your credit card and personal information to donate to our campaign. Our payment processor uses advanced security technology to protect your data from theft or fraud. Part of why we chose that payment processor is because of their reputation for security and privacy.
We may revise this policy, but will always post the latest version here.
